Question 1

What is Auction Champion?

Accepted Answer

Auction Champion is live player auction software for tournament organizers. You collect player registrations (and fees) online, run a points-based live auction with team owners, let fans watch on phones or a hall projector, and download reports when it ends.

Question 2

Which sports are supported?

Accepted Answer

Cricket is the primary sport today. Football, kabaddi, volleyball, pool and more formats are on the roadmap under Multi-Sport.

Question 3

Can I customize team size and points budget?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you create a tournament you set squad size, starting purse points, bid increments and base prices per category, so the auction matches your league rules.

Question 4

What are icon players?

Accepted Answer

Icon players are star players you can pre-assign to teams before the open auction, similar to IPL-style icon picks, so every franchise starts with a marquee name.

Question 5

How do players register for an auction?

Accepted Answer

Share the public registration link (WhatsApp-friendly). Players fill in their details and photo, pay the fee if the tournament has one, and get a player ID on WhatsApp straight away.

Question 6

Which details can I collect from players?

Accepted Answer

Name, phone, photo, age, category, batting/bowling style, T-shirt name, number and size, pant size, city and more. Each field can be set to Required, Optional or Off per tournament.

Question 7

Can a player be removed after registering?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The organizer can remove a player at any time, for example if the player has an emergency and asks to withdraw. If the player paid online, the full amount they paid is refunded immediately.

Question 8

Can I download the registered players list?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Download PDF (with or without large photos), Excel or CSV. For PDFs you can choose exactly which columns to include, such as player ID, photo, T-shirt size or pant size.

Question 9

How do players pay the registration fee?

Accepted Answer

For online tournaments, players pay on the registration form through Razorpay using UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM) and debit/credit cards. The registration is confirmed only after the payment succeeds.

Question 10

What is the 2.36% charge? Is GST included?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The 2.36% online payment charge is the payment gateway fee including GST (2% payment gateway fee + 18% GST on that fee). It applies to every online payment.

Question 11

Who pays the online payment charge — player or organizer?

Accepted Answer

The organizer decides per tournament. Either the player pays the fee plus 2.36% (a ₹500 fee becomes ₹511.80), or the player pays only ₹500 and ₹11.80 is deducted from the organizer's settlement.

Question 12

When does the organizer receive the collected money?

Accepted Answer

Collected fees are settled to the organizer's bank account within 3–5 working days after registration closes, minus online charges (when the organizer bears them) and minus refunds issued to players.

Question 13

Where can organizers see the payment calculation?

Accepted Answer

The tournament's Payments page shows every payment, the charge on each, refunds, net collected, the payout due and the amount already paid out, and it can be exported to CSV.

Question 14

Do team owners bid with real money?

Accepted Answer

No. Auction bids are points only. The only money handled by the platform is the player registration fee.

Question 15

Will I get a refund if I go unsold in the auction?

Accepted Answer

If the organizer has enabled refunds for unsold players (on by default), yes. You get the full amount you paid back automatically, within 24 hours of the auction completing. You don't need to do anything.

Question 16

What if the organizer removes me from the tournament?

Accepted Answer

You get a full refund of the amount you paid online, initiated immediately, whether or not the auction has started.

Question 17

How long does a refund take to reach my account?

Accepted Answer

Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually arrive in 5–7 working days after they are initiated, depending on your bank. Contact us with your player ID if it has not arrived after 7 working days.

Question 18

Is the online payment charge refunded too?

Accepted Answer

The player always gets back the full amount they paid, including any charge they paid. The gateway does not return its 2.36% charge on refunded payments, so that amount is borne by the organizer.

Question 19

I was sold in the auction. Can I get my fee back?

Accepted Answer

Fees of sold players are not refunded through the platform. Please contact the tournament organizer for any special request.

Question 20

Can spectators watch the auction live?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Share the public spectator link for phones, or open the projector screen for the hall. Fans follow the live lot, current bid and team with no login needed.

Question 21

Can we stream the auction live on YouTube?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add our broadcast graphics link as a Browser source in OBS (or vMix) on top of your cameras and stream to YouTube. Viewers see TV-style graphics like a cricket scorecard — player photo, current bid, leading team and a SOLD card — updating live. The organizer can switch to team purses, top buys or a break card from the dashboard during the stream.

Question 22

What happens if a team owner gets disconnected?

Accepted Answer

Rooms are reconnect-safe. When the owner comes back online, the auction state restores automatically so bids and purse balances stay consistent.

Question 23

What reports are available after the auction?

Accepted Answer

Download the full list, team-wise squads, sold players and unsold players in PDF (with the columns you choose), Excel or CSV as soon as the auction closes, plus team owner sheets.

Question 24

How many concurrent viewers can watch?

Accepted Answer

The platform is built for 1,000+ concurrent spectator viewers with low-latency bid updates across screens.
